The goal: a tray of delicious flapjacks


  • [500g] Porridge oats
  • [250g] Butter (unsalted)
  • [250g] Brown sugar
  • [6tsp] Golden Syrup
  • Maple Syrup


  1. Melt the butter.

  2. Mix the oats, butter, sugar, and golden syrup in a bowl; adding maple syrup if the mixture doesn’t seem to be sticking together well enough.

  3. Lightly grease a baking tin with butter, and spoon in the mixture.

  4. Cook in a preheated oven at 250C for 15 to 30 minutes (until golden).
